Here are a few great resources on the topic of food, nutrition and wellness…
Stella’s Kitchen – You’re busy. You want to eat quality food that supports your conscious and active lifestyle, but you don’t have the time or energy to do it. That’s where we come in! (For the Portland, Oregon metro area only).
Mark’s Daily Apple – Our ancestors evolved over millions of years under certain environmental conditions. These conditions (the foods they ate, the amount of sun they got, the sort of movement that was required of them to survive, etc.) shaped their genome. While the world has changed in innumerable ways in the last 10,000 years (for better and worse), the human genome has changed very little and thus only thrives under similar conditions. Simply put, if you want a good future you better listen to the past. And that’s where The Primal Blueprint and Mark’s Daily Apple come in. Showing you how to direct gene expression toward fat burning, muscle building, longevity and wellness, and away from fat storing, muscle wasting, disease and illness.
Purely Primal – We follow what we would consider to be a Primal/Paleo diet. We’re not strict, but pretty close. Since we like to cook, we decided to start our own blog, posting some recipes using nothing but the best “primal” ingredients. Don’t like to cook? We are hoping to change your mind when you see how easy it can be. We have kids and so we are always looking to make healthy and tasteful meals that they will eat too. This is cooking for the whole family!
PaleOMG – I’m a food hoarder. And a really bad dancer. If you don’t know me well, you will probably not understand my humor. Therefore, I apologize ahead of time. Thanks for listening to my ramblings of my single life and trusting my kitchen mishaps. Your trust in me is appreciated.
Everyday Paleo – During my own paleo journey I have learned a lot about how to successfully feed a family paleo and this blog is a chance for me to share with you some of the paleo related tidbits, stories, and advice that only comes from experience.
Whole9 – Founded in 2009 by Dallas and Melissa Hartwig, Whole9 is a community focused on health, fitness, balance and sanity, all built on a foundation of real food and healthy nutritional habits.
